The group “Initiative de solidarité Olga TARATUTA”, which is involved in “The Network of Anarchist Internationalists”, is organizing an evening in solidarity with Russian and Ukrainian deserters on February 13, 2026 from 6:00 PM! Venue: Loukanikos (square du 8 mai 1945 – Rennes).
Program: Presentation of the group Olga Taratuta (France), an initiative of solidarity with refugees, deserters, pacifists in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus; open debate on the situation and our options for action and there will be a support canteen on site, the profits of which will go to the anarchist collective assembly of Kharkov (Ukraine).
In Ukraine, desertions have reached at least 200,000, compounded by a massive refusal to participate in mobilizations. Despite the authorities’ relentless pursuit, the Ukrainian state is finding it increasingly difficult to send its proletariat to die at the front. Hundreds of thousands of conscripts refuse to die for the flag and courageously flee the front and the country, preventing roundups and confronting their superiors.
In Ukraine and in neighboring countries, several anti-capitalist organizations are simultaneously engaged in tireless solidarity with the deserters and the dissemination of the revolutionaries’ historical positions (for the defeat of all nations and the refusal to support one bourgeoisie against another).
While all of this may sometimes seem distant, we nevertheless live in the same world, in the same present where nationalist blocs, clashing with one another, are massacring ever more rapidly and with ever greater ferocity. And this is happening both within and beyond the country’s borders. Against this, we must remain attentive to the forms of resistance and revolt against this deadly future, and strive to create strong links with those who are fighting and organizing.
